Originally from a small farming community in northeast Ohio, Scott Thomas followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the military as an Army Intelligence Cryptologist. After fulfilling his enlistment, he transitioned into the banking industry, where he rapidly advanced in his career. Recognizing a gap in the mortgage industry, Scott founded Harbor Financial Mortgage with a vision to provide clients with the ability to shop for the lowest rates and fees available. His innovative approach combines the flexibility of larger institutions with the buying power needed to secure extremely competitive interest rates for both permanent and purchase transactions.

Scott has been dedicated to the mortgage industry for over 25 years, closing more than $800 million in real estate transactions. His experience includes serving some of the largest names in the military, as well as Fortune 500 companies. He takes pride in delivering exceptional service tailored to the unique needs of each client.

Scott is also a proud father to two daughters: Brielle, 18, who is studying dentistry at Texas A&M University, and Afton, a sophomore at Valley High School who enjoys bass fishing, searching for arrowheads, and embracing the joys of being a typical teenager. In his free time, Scott indulges his passion for history and prehistoric artifacts, particularly through arrowhead hunting.
